In 2013, House of Shandy was renamed The Traveler Beer Company to allow more freedom for exploration.

Rip Rap Brewing is a small microbrewery in Norfolk, VA. It was born out of a brewing passion of 'Liam, who started homebrewing while still serving in the Coast Guard. Rip Rap Brewing Co opened in April of 2016 with the help of another Coastie, Ben. Since then, the tasting room has expanded from four beers on tap to nine, started distributing to a small number of bars and restaurants in the local area, and participating in beer festivals. 'Liam loves is always looking for new styles of beer to bring to the ever rotating taps in the tasting room.

There comes a time in every man's life when he must ask himself - Should I continue working my steady and lucrative job or should I just quit and make beer? Well, for Norfolk-native Porter Hardy, the decision was a no-brainer. In 2012, the former home-brewer (and now former lawyer) traded his ties in for tap handles, and never looked back. With a stellar team around him, Porter entered un-fermented waters as one of the original craft breweries to set up shop in Hampton Roads.

Founder/owner Russel Tinsley first began dreaming in 2010 of one day opening his own brewery. After reading a book by Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione and visiting the Rehoboth Beach brewpub, Russel realized his love for craft beer was more than a casual interest. He set out to learn everything possible about the brewing process, and he and his wife Rebekah started the journey of building a brewery that blended their vision of history, innovation, and community. Fort Monroe, Virginia, a recently decommissioned military base rich in American history, soon became the ideal setting for the future brewery's home. After years of tireless dedication from a hardworking team (and some, blood, sweat, and tears along the way), The Oozlefinch Craft Brewery finally opened its doors to the public on September 3, 2016. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Back Bay Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 by a group of Virginia Beach friends with deep roots in the Back Bay of Virginia Beach. Charlie Burroughs and Josh Canada were in a Duck Blind discussing their dreams of opening their own brewery when they decided to make that dream a reality. We are a former financial analyst, a former consultant, and a former high school teacher turned professional brewer joining forces to open a community-based and philanthropy-focused force for good in the form of a brewery! The seed for such a business was sown in 2007, during the co-founders' time at the nearby College of William & Mary (over a beer or two at the local craft beer bar, if we're honest). In 2010, "We could do it?" became "We should do it!" and research & planning began in earnest. The search for a suitable facility began in 2012, and following more than two years of agonizing near-misses and endless building tours, we finally found our home, less than two miles from the heart of Downtown Williamsburg. 401 Second Street is now the home of The Virginia Beer Company!
In 2006 Charles "Chuck" Haines commenced a new stage in his life, gathering a group of investors to open Williamsburg Alewerks LLC. Inspired by time spent in Europe, Chuck aimed to share his passion for authentic, craft brewed ales with his friends in Virginia. Though not that far in the past, the scene was not nearly as friendly to craft breweries as it is now. Alewerks survived a challenging marketplace thanks to Chuck's tenacity and eye for talent. Too often queried, "What is Williamsburg Alewerks?" the more descriptive moniker "Alewerks Brewing Company" was adopted.
Trapezium Brewing Co. takes its name from the iconic Trapezium House, just a few blocks to the west of our tap room and 30 barrel production facility. The historic building is a quirky three-story structure built with no right angles, and through the years all sort of stories and superstitions have been assigned to it. We see it as a metaphor--it's a quirky building in a quirky town, where doing things differently usually gets the best results. Trapezium Brewing distributes it four core beers--White Ale, IPA, Session IPA, and our unique Lemon Honey Ginger--from Fredericksburg to the NC border, and from Charlottesville to the coast, and of course at our taproom in Old Towne Petersburg VA.
In 1994, Tom Martin opened the little Tasting Room/Pub off of an old gravel road called West 6th Street in Richmond's Historic Old Manchester District. Serving Legend Beer and a short list of sandwiches along with pub fries, the small pub became a popular fixture for the city's night life scene. Today we have grown into a full size 180 seat Restaurant with a 200 seat Deck and small Beer Garden. Our Pub serves a full menu including some of Richmond's finest burgers and sandwiches and of course the full line of Legend Beers.
The story of how Hardywood Park Craft Brewery came to be is quite literally as old as its co-founders, Eric McKay and Patrick Murtaugh. Their parents met first, setting the stage for a childhood friendship that would develop over decades into a shared passion for craft beer. Buskey Cider opened in April 2016 in the popular craft beverage neighborhood of Scott's Addition in Richmond, Virginia. Focusing on semi-sweet and dryer ciders in addition to using innovative techniques typically found in beer, Buskey is receiving great interest and enthusiasm about their refreshing cider. Buskey is currently distributing on draft and in cans in Richmond through Loveland Distributing and in Hampton Roads through Chesbay, and we're excited to continue expanding throughout the state.
Neil Burton, the founder of Strangeways Brewing, has always had a penchant for exploring the unknown, especially when it comes to beer. As a result, he has found himself in some of the more peculiar corners of the world tasting as many unique beers as possible. What he discovered on his journeys is not of great importance. Our wastewater is purified on site and returned to the Lickinghole Creek watershed. Our name pays homage to Little Lickinghole Creek, which runs through the farm's rolling hills. Since precolonial times the creek has been known as the Lickinghole where wildlife stopped to drink from the nourishing waters. May the tradition continue.
Paul Philippon was happily pursuing a career teaching philosophy when the siren song of brewing beer, his hobby since 1987, could no longer be ignored. He went to work for a succession of three breweries until he felt his experience was sufficient to try to open a brewery himself. The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery was born! Duck-Rabbit sold its first beer in August of 2004 and has been growing steadily ever since.

A Bohemian-style beer, Natty Boh was first brewed by the National Brewing Company in Baltimore, Maryland. 1933: National Bohemian returned with the introduction of Mr. Boh, the one-eyed mascot with a handlebar-mustache and distinctive smile. Instantly adopted as a symbol of a proud city, Mr. Boh continues to be the iconic face for the brand today appearing on all cans, bottles, packaging and merchandise found in shops all over Maryland.

Old Bust Head Brewing Company is named for a rural crossroads in the rolling hills of Fauquier County, Virginia. The locals who dubbed the corner 'Bust Head' enjoyed not only the potent libations brewed there, but also a little good humor. Some say the nickname came about when a neighbor fell off his horse after 'overindulging' at the corner shop one evening. Others say the locals who drank there were partial to Saturday night fights, or that they just fell down and busted their heads on the rough old country road. One thing is certain, Bust Head was a place that brought folks together in good spirits and built community--and that's what we hope to do here at Old Bust Head Brewing Company. One might say the spark for the idea behind the brewery happened in 1992 with a visit to Cortina, Italy. Founders, Steve and Heidi Crandall were on a ski trip and were introduced to a German beer called Weihenstephan. This first real "craft" beer experience started a trend in the Crandall household, planting the seed that slowly grew into an idea, and then bloomed to become Devils Backbone Brewing Company. With some great friends, the Crandalls began to further foster the idea of a small, environmentally sensitive, pedestrian-friendly, and community-focused business development. "The Village at Glen Mary" community was born and its flagship business would be the Devils Backbone Brewing Company, opening its doors in 2008.
Beer takes us on adventures. It allows us to discover new flavors and cultures. Our quest for great beer can lead anywhere, from corner pubs to faraway breweries. For Heavy Seas founder, Hugh Sisson, beer altered the trajectory of his life. In 1980, intending to become a stage actor and director, Hugh's plan was to move to NYC after completing his course work for a masters degree in theater. Hugh's father, Albert, a Baltimore area businessman, persuaded him instead to come "help" at a newly opened family business, a tavern called Sisson's. When Hugh showed up to start what he assumed would be a short-term position, his father tossed him the keys to the pub, said "OK, don't f*** up!" and walked out the door.
Harrisonburg, VA is and always has been our home, so where better to open a brewery than in our own backyard? Parkway Brewing Company was established in 2012 to produce the finest beers possible. Currently capable of 17000 bbls per year and located in Salem, VA, Parkway Operates a 30bbl 4 vessel brewhouse and a 3.5bbl pilot brewhouse. These systems allow Parkway to produce 22 beers per year for the distribution market and multiple pilot batches available exclusively in the on-site tasting room.
Victory Brewing Company opened its doors to the public on Feb. 15, 1996. What was once a Pepperidge Farm factory became home to a 144-seat restaurant, 70-foot-long bar and a full-scale brewery. In its first year, Victory Brewing Company brewed 1,725 barrels of beer. Since then, Victory has increased the size of the restaurant to 300 seats. The brewery has also expanded, producing 125,713 barrels of beer in 2014. As loyal craft beer drinkers continue to show their dedication to flavorful, quality beer, Victory plans to continue its own growth. Onward to Victory!
Individual commitment to a group effort. It's at the core of what we do here. These are some of the talented individuals who make Foothills Brewing so special. And a helluva fun place to work. Foothills began brewing beer at our West 4th Street location in March 2005, with three 15-barrel fermenters. Jamie and his brewers managed to crank out 800 barrels of beer that year, and doubled that output the following year. As demand and production continued to increase, the need became obvious for more space. The solution came in the form of a 48,000 square foot warehouse a few miles away, an old manila envelope factory that was retro-fitted with brewing equipment and became Foothills' main production facility, located at 3800 Kimwell Drive. Today both brewery locations continue to produce our top-quality beers. We offer weekend tours from our tasting room at our main brewing facility. Conversely, if you ask nicely at the downtown brewpub, you can probably get a peek at the operation.
D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. is owned and operated by Richard (Dick) Yuengling, Jr. This fifth generation owner is in the Pottsville facilities daily. Dick's passion is in the plant: the brew house, on the bottling line and at the truck docks. However, he can be found in the lab for his morning coffee followed by daily visits to each department.

Sierra Nevada Brewing is one of the top breweries operating in the United States. As of 2016, it is the seventh-largest brewing company in the United States. The brewery produced 786,000 barrels of beer in 2010.
Founders Phineas DeMink and Allen "Skip" Yahn started the brewery with the vision of reviving the practice of small-batch brewing to a region rich in brewing tradition. In 2002, with equipment gained from the purchase of the Old Saddleback Brewing Co. in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the Southern Tier Brewing Company began production in the woods just outside of Lakewood, New York. By 2003, select varieties of small batch ales were locally distributed, and by 2005, sales to a rapidly growing base of fans covered the majority of New York State and Pennsylvania. The brewery produced Pilsner, Mild Ale, and India Pale Ale before adding a successful roster of seasonal beers to the portfolio.

It all started with John H. Fehlberg, Augustus F. Borchandt, Herman G. Possner, George M. Gerhard, Constand A. Moeller, and Jacob Wirth. In 1888, these local businessmen--The Original Six--came together to form the Narragansett Brewing Company. With $150,000 in capital and funds from Butterine (Fehlberg's predecessor to margarine), a brick brewing house was built. In December of 1890, the first beer was produced, and the following year the company officially incorporated.

John Molson founded Canada's oldest beer brewery on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Montreal. He wrote, "My beer has been universally well-liked beyond my most sanguine expectations." In 1959, Molson Canadian was first brewed and today is one of Canada's most iconic and best-selling brands. Adolph Coors, a penniless brewer's apprentice, stumbled on the perfect water in Clear Creek at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. 105 years later, Coors Light was born and would go on to be enjoyed by beer drinkers in over 25 countries worldwide. Frederick J. Miller began his apprenticeships in brewing in adolescence and by 1849 was brewmaster to a prince in Sigmaringen, Hohenzollern. After immigrating to the US in 1854, he settled in Milwaukee then leased and later purchased the suburban Plank Road Brewery for $2,300. He brought a unique brewer's yeast from Germany - its descendant yeast is still used in some of our beers.

Our brewery was built in 1995 and has more than doubled in size since originally built. We bring you our tasty pints using 32 fermenters, over 15 different yeasts, state-of-the-art filters, centrifuges and a 50 barrel JV Northwest 5 vessel system that brews 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It turns out that making awesome brews is quite the science. Luckily our brewery facilities have all the equipment necessary to deliver results.

In 1995, our head brewmaster Keith Villa, put a new-world twist on the old-world art of brewing and created a refreshingly unique take on the classic Belgian Wit beers he had grown to love while studying brewing in Brussels. By taking inspiration from the classic Belgian Wit recipe and then tweaking it with Valencia orange peel and adding a touch of coriander, Keith crafted a beer unlike any other. The result was Blue Moon Belgian White. Beer drinkers really loved its subtle sweetness and citrusy flavor. Which just goes to show that life is a lot more interesting when something's brewing.

New Belgium Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was opened in 1991 by Jeff Lebesch and Kim Jordan. In 2015, it produced 914,000 barrels of its various labels. As of 2016, it was the fourth-largest craft brewery and eighth-largest overall brewery in the United States.
In 2002, our funky little Colorado grown brew-pub started stuffing our huge, voluminously hopped mutha of a pale ale in a can (Dale's Pale Ale). 1844: German immigrant Jacob Best and his sons establish the Empire Brewery in Milwaukee, WI and produce 300 barrels of Best Select lager in their first year. Presumably they celebrate with a pint. 1860: Jacob's son Phillip takes over and renames the company Phillip Best Company. His new son-in-law, steamship captain Frederick Pabst, sells his shipping interest and buys a partnership stake in the brewery. 1872: Phillip Best Company produces 100,000 barrels, becoming the second largest brewery in the US. Captain Pabst takes over as President of the company. 1889: Pabst follows in his father-in-law's footsteps, changing the brewery's name to honor himself. The Pabst Brewing Company is born.
Our building is actually the town's historic Fire Hall located right on main street with two roll up bay doors, which in the summer we open to let the warm summer breeze in. Did you know we are not the first Republic Brewing Company? The original brewery operated 3 miles east of the current location, providing beer to gold miners from the 1890's until it closed at the onset of Prohibition. Beer was served to local saloons in wooden barrels and bottled at the Republic Bottling Works, a building that currently serves as the San Poil Grange Hall.

In 2000, Nico Freccia and Shaun O'Sullivan founded the 21st Amendment Brewery in San Francisco's historic South Park neighborhood. The popular brewpub is now at the heart of the new city center, just south of the financial district and only two blocks from the San Francisco Giants baseball park. Anderson Valley Brewing Company was founded on December 26th, 1987 in the town of Boonville, CA. In the beginning, we brewed out of a modest 10-barrel brewhouse located in the lower level of our original brewpub, The Buckhorn Saloon. At the time, we were one of only 20 craft breweries in the country and have long been considered one of the pioneers of the craft beer industry. For over 25 years, Anderson Valley Brewing Company has been hand-crafting authentic ales and lagers with balance and complexity and a passion for sustainable brewing practices. Our large solar panel array provides over 40% of our electrical needs, while 100% of our waste water is treated and used for the irrigation of our goat pastures and estate hop fields. In addition, our spent grain is given to local cows and spent hops are used as a natural fertilizer.

It was 1989 and Charles and Rose Ann Finkel finally realized a long time dream to open their own brewery in Seattle. During their travels the Finkels had fallen in love with the many beers of Europe, including ales in England, fruit beers in Belgium and pils, dunkels and dopplebocks in Bavaria. Inspired to bring these malty brews back home, where light, mass produced lagers still dominated the American palate, they pioneered a beer & wine importing business. Working with the world's greatest brewers was inspiring as was seeing how Washington's wine industry was growing. The Finkels knew that the time was right to start brewing their own full-flavored beers for Seattle.

In 1987, some like-minded Rogues had an idea to start a "Brew Pub". The next year, a Revolution in beer began in the basement of the Rogue Public House in Ashland, Oregon. The Brewery and Pub opened in October 1988 with the brewery housed beneath a 60 seat Pub. The first beers brewed were American Amber and Oregon Golden.

Faculty Brewing Co. is the brainchild of husband-and-wife team Mauricio, the head brewer, and Alicia, the architect behind the brewery's design. Seeing a need to make craft beer more accessible to the masses, they found their perfect location in the former space of bicycle shop Pedal Bike Depot and began to make their idea a reality. The Faculty name was born out of Mauricio's experience as a professor, the wish to educate and empower people with craft beer knowledge, and the idea that the brewery would share all the information behind the brewing process, including the recipes. We aim to work with other breweries and local home brewers to test new recipes and experiment with innovative ideas. The original George brewed the first batch of Enniscorthy Ruby Ale, the inspiration for George Killian's Irish Red. He just wanted a better beer to share with his friends. He then founded Mill Park Brewery in Enniscorthy, Ireland, so he could share his ruby-colored ale with all of Ireland.
It all started on a sunny day on October 5th, 1983. We'd love to say that it was one of the most memorable days of founder, Ken Brooker's life, but that night he hosted one of his legendary tasting sessions and he can't remember much about it. In the years that follow, Ken continues to brew beers in his shed and host his friends. Word spreads and his friends begin to bring along their friends and their friends' friends, until eventually Tuesday nights at Ken's attracts up to 40 people!
Birra Moretti was an Italian brewing company, founded in Udine in 1859 by Luigi Moretti with the name of Beer Factory and Ice. In 1996 the company was acquired by Heineken International. The brewing plant in Udine was sold to the newly formed Birra Castello S.p.A.; Moretti is now a brand of Heineken.
In 2015, we invited our fans and the craft beer community to invest in Innis & Gunn as we looked for the perfect spot to pitch our proverbial brewing tent. The support we received was overwhelming and in 2016 we acquired the Inveralmond Brewery in the heart of Perthshire. The Inveralmond Brewery was already renowned throughout Scotland for outstanding quality and we were excited to join forces with their celebrated brewing team.
Belhaven - or "Beautiful harbour" - nestles among the rolling barley fields of the beautiful East Lothian coast, around 20 miles east of Edinburgh. For nearly 300 years, we have brewed in this place using only the finest local barley and choicest hops. Established in 1719, Belhaven is Scotland's oldest working brewery. With abundant local barley, fine water from the brewery well and access to markets up and down the coast, Belhaven was the perfect place for a brewery back then, and it still is today.
Traditional methods of brewing have been retained at The Old Brewery. The Samuel Smith brewery still has its own cooper making and repairing all its oak casks; all Samuel Smith's naturally conditioned draught beer is handpulled from oak casks. The original well at The Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the brewing water being drawn from 85 feet underground.
Wells & Young's Brewery (Wells & Young's Brewing Company) was formed in October 2006 from the merger of the brewing operations of Charles Wells Ltd and Young's Brewery. Charles Wells initially had a 60% stake and Young's 40%. In 2011, Charles Wells took full control when it bought Young's 40% stake. Wells & Young's is now responsible for brewing, distributing and marketing Charles Wells' and Young & Co's brands at the Eagle Brewery in Bedford.
Brasseries Kronenbourg is a brewery founded in 1664 by Geronimus Hatt in Strasbourg, Holy Roman Empire. The name comes from the area where the brewery relocated in 1850. The company is owned by the Carlsberg Group. The main brand is Kronenbourg 1664, a 5.5% abv pale lager.
The founder of the brewery was a doctor in medecine, Louis Nevejan. We have recently found papers in the archives stating that the first building dates from 1835 AD. Once it was both brewery and distillery. The founder died in 1882 and the brewery was sold to Alouis Costenoble. The family brewed for three generations until 1980 when the brewery stopped. Beer brands include COQ PILS OUD BRUIN & COSMOS. In Esen there were six breweries (all small and parttime) and two distilleries.

Brewery Verhaeghe (Dutch - Brouwerij Verhaeghe) established in 1875, is a small brewery located in Vichte, West Flanders, Belgium. They specialise in Flanders red ales including Duchesse de Bourgogne, an internationally renowned Flemish red.
A small group of monks came to settle on the wild plateau of Scourmont, near Chimay, in the summer of 1850. A farm, brewery, and dairy soon sprang up around the monastery. Scourmont Abbey has developed a range of economic activities, thereby boosting regional employment.
The brewery has been in the hands of the Bosteels family for over 200 years and seven generations. Their forefather, Evarist Bosteels, established the brewery in 1791. After that came Jozef, who had three sons: Frans--for thirteen years the Mayor of Buggenhout--Martin and Lodewijk, of whom the first two learnt the brewer's trade. Leon Bosteels, Martin's son, later took over the helm, after which in 1938 Antoine Bosteels carried on the brewing dynasty as Leon's son.

Kona Brewing Company was started by father and son team Cameron Healy and Spoon Khalsa. The pair had a dream to create fresh, local island brews made with spirit, passion and quality. Their love of Hawaii, and a desire to protect the pristine environment here, brought them to the Big Island to fulfill their vision. Kona Brewing continues to be headquartered right where it began, in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii's Big Island.
At Stella Artois, we are extremely proud of our Belgian roots. Our story can be seen on every bottle of Stella Artois. If you look closely, hints of our origins are proudly displayed. By 1366 roots of our brewing tradition had been established in the city of Leuven, Belgium--which is also where the original Den Hoorn brewery was founded. Den Hoorn laid the foundation for the quality taste and standard Stella Artois is known for. The symbol of the Den Hoorn Brewery is proudly displayed in Stella Artois' cartouche to this day. Sebastian Artois was admitted to the Leuven Brewer's Guild as a Brew Master in 1708, and only nine years later purchased the Den Hoorn brewery. In memoriam, you can find his last name on the brewery and every bottle of Stella Artois around the world.
Benoit Johnen became a hard-working bierophile during his first job at the Piron brewery in Aubel. He brewed there several years and, leaving the brewery in 1996, he knew that one day he would brew again. In 1997, he took over the pub of his village and made it a friendly and warm place. The years that followed were prosperous, but in the head of our brewer, this microbrewery project was still fermenting. It was in 2000 that he started to work: demolition of the annex and construction of the brewery, purchase of equipment from the breweries 'La Magonnette' and 'Ruwet', adaptation and installation of equipment, layout of premises . . . The first wort was finally subjected to the voracious appetite of yeasts in January 2002.

The Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan (Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan) is a German brewery located on the site of the former Weihenstephan Abbey in Freising, Bavaria. In 2014, the total output was 382,341 hectolitres (325,819 US bbl).
16 June 1492 "Das Haus Bey der Stiegen" ('The House by the Steps'). Let's take a trip back to the Salzburg of this time. According to Copernicus the world is no longer flat; it is in fact a spinning globe and, as a result, America is discovered. This is the world as it stood when the 'Brauhaus an der Gstatten' was first mentioned in written record on 16 June 1492. The "Prewhaws" is located in the heart of Salzburg's Old Town, at the spot where the Haus der Natur is now situated. The name 'Stiegl' only appears a little later. It refers to a small set of steps situated next to the brew house. At the "Haus Bey der Stiegen", brewing water is fetched from the Almkanal, which supplies the city with fresh water.
In 1838, a momentous event in Plzen saw 36 barrels of bad beer smashed and emptied into the street. Around 250 burghers had brewing rights in the city but poor quality beer combined with some tavern owners having higher prices than others (meaning the beer sold slower and turned sour), and the threat of cheaper imported beers replacing their own brews. Something had to be done and a committee of important townsfolk decided that the answer was to build one new brewery to be run by the city. In January 1839 a plan was agreed upon and work started to build this new brewery. A young architect named Martin Stelzer was enlisted to build the Burgher's Brewery, a forerunner to the present day brewing company. A visionary Bavarian brewmaster, Josef Groll, was hired to make the beer and he combined new techniques to produce pale malted barley, he used local Czech hops, he took the soft water of Plzen, and chose a lager yeast. A new beer was born. The first batch of beer was brewed on 5th October 1842. Five weeks later, on 11th November, the beer was first drunk in the town. A golden beer--the world's first golden lager--it was fresh, clear and refreshing with a hint of caramel sweetness and a fragrant, balanced hop bitterness. It was an immediate success and a proud moment for the city of Plzen. Since that day the recipe has remained the same.
Good beer has been brewed in Bohemia since time immemorial. Therefore, when founding the city Ceske Budejovice in Bohemia (Czech Republic) in 1265, the Czech king Premysl Otakar II did not fail to also grant to its burghers the brewing rights, i.e., the right for malting, brewing, storing and selling beer at their homes. In the following centuries, the local beer became so famous because of its quality that it gained loyal customers in imperial and royal courts. In the course of the centuries, small home breweries were disappearing and the beer was brewed in even larger facilities. on 15 April 1895, Cesky akciovy pivovar was founded, whose current successor, B.B.N.P. brewery, carries on the local brewing tradition.
